Blue Guava (31.276%) THCa Flower

Blue Guava (31.276% THCa) – Premium THCa Flower

Blue Guava is a Hybrid THCa flower strain that came to market in 2023 through the Bay Area brand Zatix, most often listed as Gelato #33 × Pink Guava. This living soil batch tests at 31.276% THCa with 32.826% total cannabinoids and 1.69% total terpenes, led by limonene and caryophyllene with the highest linalool in this release. It also carries the broadest minor-cannabinoid panel of the group — nine minor cannabinoids above detection.

Overview

Blue Guava is a Hybrid strain grown here in living soil. This batch tests at 31.276% THCa, 27.593% total THC, and 32.826% total cannabinoids, with Δ9-THC at 0.164% and total CBD at 0.028%. The minor cannabinoid fraction is unusually wide — nine analytes above detection: CBGa 0.784%, CBCa 0.233%, THCVa 0.177%, CBG 0.058%, CBC 0.056%, CBDa 0.032%, Δ8-THC 0.020%, CBDVa 0.014% and CBN 0.011%.

Total terpenes come in at 1.69%. Limonene leads at 0.42% (25% of the profile), with trans-caryophyllene at 0.37% (22%) close behind. Then comes the part that sets this batch apart: linalool at 0.18% (11%) and ocimene at 0.22% combined (cis-β-ocimene 0.11% plus ocimene 0.11%), ahead of β-myrcene at 0.11%. The rest of the panel: menthol 0.10%, α-humulene 0.10%, endo-fenchyl alcohol 0.07%, β-pinene 0.06% and α-pinene 0.05%.

Published descriptions of Blue Guava name limonene and caryophyllene among its main terpenes, and this batch agrees. Linalool and ocimene are not mentioned in any published profile we could find — they are specific to this batch, and they are a big part of why it smells more floral and tropical than spicy.

Aroma and Flavor

Blue Guava opens on bright citrus and tropical fruit — that is the 0.42% limonene working with the combined 0.22% ocimene, which reads sweet, green and guava-like. The 0.18% linalool adds a soft, floral, almost lavender layer, and the 0.37% caryophyllene sits underneath as a gentle warm spice rather than an up-front pepper note.

On the palate, independent descriptions of Blue Guava mention berry, blueberry, tropical fruit syrup and a sweet "neon" candy note, with a little gas and kush on the back end. This batch follows that closely: sweet berry and tropical fruit on the draw, a soft floral middle, and a cool, lightly spiced exhale from the menthol and caryophyllene.

Effects and Usage

Leafly's users describe Blue Guava as euphoric, relaxed and uplifted and "mostly calming," while Weedmaps describes a bubbly, creative head with a strong body high.

This batch suits that balance. Limonene drives the uplift, linalool at 0.18% is associated with a calm, easygoing feel, and with myrcene at only 0.11% there is little to drag you toward the couch. Expect a happy, sociable onset that settles into easy relaxation without sedation. It works well from the afternoon into the evening — creative projects, socializing, or unwinding after work. At 31.276% THCa, start small if you are not used to this potency.

Strain Background

Blue Guava's lineage depends on who you ask, and we are not going to pick a side the record does not support.

Version one — the Zatix cut: Leafly reports that Bay Area brand Zatix brought Blue Guava to the recreational market in 2023 as a cross of Gelato #33 × Pink Guava. Zatix's own Weedmaps listing names the same parents. Pink Guava is a Deo Farms selection from Dying Breed's OZ Kush seeds, which makes this Blue Guava a relative of Zoap. Even here the record is not airtight: Zatix's own blog lists Blue Guava's lineage as "Unknown," and one Leafly page calls the parent "Peach Guava" instead of "Pink Guava."

Version two — Blue Dream × Guava Kush: AllBud lists Blue Guava as Blue Dream × Guava Kush, with no breeder. Weedmaps' strain page gives the same parents but credits Zatix, which looks like two different strains merged into one entry. Guava Kush has no documented parentage.

Both versions agree on one thing: it is a Hybrid. Every source we found classifies it that way, and AllBud calls it a balanced 50/50.

No awards. Blue Guava has no documented cup win. One 2023 Leafly roundup mentions that Transbay Challenge judges endorsed the Zatix cross, but that is an endorsement, not a placement — Blue Guava does not appear in the published Transbay results.

Do not confuse with: Blue Guava Gelato or Grape Guava (a purple phenotype from the same Zatix cross, sold separately). We also carry Guava Gelato Breath, a different strain.
